Email Alert Preferences

Decide what lands in your inbox, per site.

Crafty Meerkat emails you about four things: your site going down and coming back, your security certificate approaching expiry, your tracking going quiet, and your weekly AI report. Different people want different subsets of that — an agency watching twenty sites wants downtime alerts but not twenty weekly reports; a shop owner may want the Monday report and nothing else.

Every one of those is a switch in your site’s settings, set per website rather than per account, because the right answer for your busy shop is rarely the right answer for the brochure site you built for a friend.

One thing the switches deliberately do not do is stop the monitoring. Turning off downtime emails does not stop us checking your site; turning off the weekly report does not stop it being written. The checks keep running and the dashboard stays current — you just decide what interrupts your day.

Step by step

Open your site’s Settings
Select the site, click Settings in the sidebar, and scroll to Email Alerts.

Switch each alert on or off
Each one explains what actually arrives and how often it can fire, so you can decide without guessing.

Save
Click Save changes at the bottom of the page. Alerts go to the email address on your account.

Tips from the den

◆If you manage several sites, consider leaving downtime and certificate alerts on everywhere and the weekly report on only for the sites you actively work on.
◆Turning an alert off does not lose you anything historical. Uptime history, certificate status, and past AI reports all remain in the dashboard.
◆If alerts are not arriving at all, check the address on your account and your spam folder before changing these switches.
