PDF Reports
A report you can hand to somebody, not a screenshot of a screen.
Available on Every plan, including Free — and in every 30-day free trial
Most analytics tools have a print button that produces a picture of the website: navigation down one side, buttons that do nothing on paper, cards cut in half by the page break. It looks like what it is — a screen, photographed.
Crafty Meerkat builds a separate document for paper. Press PDF Report on any page and you get a letterhead, the site name and reporting period, a plain-English summary paragraph, and then the actual figures set as real tables with headers that repeat across pages. No buttons, no navigation, no empty space where a card used to be.
It is the same data you are looking at, arranged the way a report should be. Send it to a client, put it in a board pack, or keep a monthly record — it reads like something a person prepared.
How it works
Each page builds a second, parallel document out of the same data it is displaying. That document is invisible on screen and replaces the dashboard entirely when you print. It is laid out in points and inches on a US Letter page rather than in pixels, which is why the type sizes, rules and page breaks look deliberate rather than accidental.
Long tables repeat their column headers on every page. Rows never split across a page break. Very long web addresses wrap rather than stretching the table sideways. The last page carries a small Crafty Meerkat mark and a line naming the site and the report — so a printed copy still says what it is a month later.
Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere to be rendered, and choosing "Save as PDF" in the print dialog gives you a file you can attach to an email.
Step by step
- 1
Open the page you want a report of
Analytics, Search, Uptime & Speed, AI Insights, Competitors and the rest each produce their own report of what that page covers.
- 2
Set the time range first
The report covers whatever range the page is showing, and prints the period at the top so the reader knows what they are looking at.
- 3
Press PDF Report
Your browser opens its print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination for a file, or a printer for paper.
- 4
Turn off headers and footers for the cleanest result
In the print dialog, under More settings, untick "Headers and footers". That removes the browser's own URL and date line, which the report does not need.
Tips from the den
- ◆The Traffic Report is the one to send monthly — it opens with a sentence anybody can read before it gets anywhere near a table.
- ◆Reports print in colour by default. If you are printing on paper and want to save ink, most print dialogs have a black-and-white option; the layout is designed to still read clearly.
- ◆Pages that are controls rather than content — the data export, the prompt composer — have no PDF button, because a report of a row of buttons would be nothing worth printing.

Common questions
Is this a screenshot of the dashboard?
No, and that is the entire point. The printed document is built separately from the same data, laid out for paper. Nothing from the screen — navigation, buttons, cards — appears in it.
Can I white-label the report?
Not yet. The report carries a small Crafty Meerkat mark and colophon on the final page. White-labelling is planned for the Agency plan.
Which plans include PDF reports?
All of them. Every page that has something worth reporting has the button, on every plan including Free.
