Autopilot

You run your business. We’ll watch the website.

Autopilot is for owners who don’t want to learn an analytics tool — which, honestly, is most owners. Turn it on and Crafty Meerkat stops being a dashboard you visit and becomes a service that reports to you: everything runs automatically, and what you see is one simple page and one weekly email, in plain English.

Nothing is removed and nothing changes about your data. Autopilot is a different front door to the same product: the full dashboard stays one click away, and you can switch back any time. It just means you never *have* to open the deep stuff to get the value.

On Autopilot, each of your sites shows as a single card: whether it’s up, how this week compares to last week, what your AI advisor recommends right now, and a list of everything that already ran for you — uptime checks, AI-crawler observations, profile crawls, visibility checks. Read it in thirty seconds, act on one thing, get back to work.

How it works

Behind the scenes, Autopilot doesn’t add new machinery — it puts the existing automation in charge and summarizes it. Your weekly AI report still lands every Monday, uptime is still checked every five minutes, your site profile still re-crawls, and AI visibility is still probed monthly (on plans that include each feature). Autopilot collects all of it into one card per site so you never wonder where to look.

When something needs you — the site goes down, a certificate is about to expire, traffic does something unusual — you get an email. If nothing needs you, we stay out of your inbox except for the Monday report.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Turn it on

Open Autopilot in your dashboard’s sidebar and click "Turn on Autopilot" — or flip the switch in Account settings. From then on, signing in takes you straight to your Autopilot page.

  2. 2

    Read your weekly email

Every Monday your AI advisor emails 3–5 ranked recommendations with the reasoning shown. That email is the product — most weeks you won’t need to sign in at all.

  3. 3

    Act on one thing

Each recommendation is specific enough to hand to whoever maintains your site — or to do yourself in an afternoon. One improvement a week compounds fast.

  4. 4

Dig deeper only when you want to

Every Autopilot card has an "Open full dashboard" button. Curiosity is welcome; it’s just never required.

Tips from the den

  • Autopilot pairs best with a Growth plan — that’s where the weekly AI report and Stats Chat live. On Starter or Free, Autopilot still gives you the simple status page and email alerts included in your plan.
  • Add your business context (what you sell, what a "win" is) in site settings once — every automatic report gets sharper for it.

Common questions

Does Autopilot change or limit what Crafty Meerkat collects?

No. Data collection, reports, and history are identical in both modes. Autopilot only changes what you see first and how much you’re expected to interact.

Can I switch back to the full dashboard?

Any time, instantly, from the Autopilot page or Account settings — and "Open full dashboard" on any site card takes you there without switching modes at all.

Is Autopilot extra?

No. It’s included on every plan, free plan included. It’s a way of using Crafty Meerkat, not a feature tier.
